"Being in a position to let my hair go into the ocean with some of my dad's ashes was magical," shared the actress from "Claws".

Karreuche Tran posted on Instagram that she had cut her long hair to let the ocean release her father's ashes and to share her experience with cutting her locks.

The 34-year old "Bel Air” actress posted a series pictures that documented the process. She also shared a video showing Cesar Delon Ramirez, a celebrity hairstylist, snipping her hair after it was tied in a braid. Ramirez said, "There's no turning back now," as the "Claws” alum seemed to be nervously cursing.

"Life is truly LIVING right now, and it was time to let go a lot old energy. She wrote, "I've always wanted my hair cut short but never had enough courage to do it." Before explaining the significance of the cut, she added the caption.

Karreuche said, "I feel like I have lost a lot of weight. It feels so liberating and I love it.. I was able to let my hair go in the ocean with some of my dad's ashes.. this was a complete circle moment since my dad was also an experienced hairstylist.

She ended her thoughts by thanking Ramirez, for his patience, understanding and understanding. "Cesar! Thank you for being so kind and patient with me. You are so appreciated.

Fans and friends flooded the comments to praise Tran's new look.

Iyanna McNeely, star of "Love is Blind", agreed that sometimes all you need is a haircut to jumpstart a new beginning. It works.
