The "Glass Onion” star spoke out about her split with Chris Robinson and Matt Bellamy, stating that they were necessary for mutual happiness.
Kate Hudson has been reflecting on the relationships she failed and what lessons she's taken from them.
During an interview on iHeartMedia’s "Table for Two With Bruce Bozzi", the 43-year old "Glass Onion” actress said that she felt like she failed after splitting with Chris Robinson and Matt Bellamy.
Hudson acknowledged that the splits were difficult and messy but they were essential for their personal growth.
"As difficult as my decisions were in my personal life, and the depth of which I felt like my family and relationships had failed, with my partners throughout those decades -- whether it was Chris or Matt -- it was the right thing not to be in those relationships," she explained. "I knew we would all be happier.
The star of "How to Lose a Guy In 10 Days" said, "It's a choice. You either stay in them and wonder what your life would be like if they had left you or you choose to leave them."
She shares her 19 year-old son Ryder (with Robinson) and her 11-year old son Bingham (with Bellamy). Hudson is also the mother to Rani, her daughter who she shares with Danny Fujikawa.
Now Kate stated that Bellamy and she are close friends, a relationship she is grateful for.
She said, "I'm so thankful for the family I have, as well as the relationships that exist." I'm very close to Matt, Bings father, my ex. He's my best friend and I love him. He feels the same about me, I believe."
Although Kate has had her share of heartbreaks, she is not regretful about her relationships. She considers them to be valuable lessons.
Hudson shared with Sara Foster and Erin Foster that Black Crowes musician Hudson taught her what it was like to feel unconditionally loved during an appearance on "The World's First Podcast" earlier this month.
Although the couple split up, Kate stated that their love was a model for future relationships.
She continued, "Chris completely opened the floodgate for me...forever." "No matter how complicated our relationship was at one point, the most important moment in my life was meeting him and him allowing him to show me what it felt like."
