Kelsea Ballerini speaks out about Morgan Evans' divorce.

The preview clip is for Wednesday's episode on "Call Her Daddy", and the country singer shares insight into Evans' marital troubles, including how she spent many nights sleeping on the couch.

After almost five years of marriage, Ballerini, 29 filed for divorce from Evans in August 2022.

"When did you realize that you and Alex Cooper were not on the exact same page about how marriage should look?" Alex Cooper asked Ballerini, host of "Call Her Daddy", if she realized that the two of them were not on the same page about marriage. Ballerini responded, "Longer than you give yourself credit for." It's been a long time.

She said, "There were separations. There was years of couples therapy." "There were many nights of sleeping on the couch. It was a difficult relationship that required a lot of work.

According to the "Peter Pan", the singer said that she can remember the first night she realized her marriage was not what she wanted.

Cooper was told by she that she slept on the couch "the night before the CMAs." "And I recall going to rehearsal at the arena, and texting Cooper and being like, I'll just be there at the carpet.'

The Grammy nominee did not specify which CMA Awards she was talking about. Ballerini, however, recalls in "Blindsided," her song that is featured on her newly-released EP "Rolling Up the Welcome Mat", how she had to lie down on the couch after a fight a few years back.

She sings, "Like that time in 2019, we had a big battle/I slept on a couch and then the next day you put on your suit," "I smiled and sang about how it was okay to cry, even if you're dying inside."

Ballerini performed "Homecoming Queen" at the 2019 CMA Awards. She appears to have been referring to it in "Blindsided."

After Cooper had pressed her further, Ballerini opened up about why she slept on the couch for so many nights.

Cooper told her that there was a disconnection. Cooper said that they hadn't seen each others, and there had been a lack in effort to see eachother. I started to feel resentful, because I felt like I was carrying the burden of seeing each other every time I saw them. I was tired of being in this way all the while and not feeling matched or seen.

She added, "And then, I was also tired from like traveling all the time, giving so much of my self because that's how I want to honor my profession, too." "And I felt really depleted, not understood.

Evans and Ballerini were married in December 2017. Evans was 24 years old at the time. The news of Evans' divorce was announced by the "Miss Me More” singer back in August. She called it a "difficult choice" that was "the outcome of a journey filled with love, growth and effort that eventually has to come to an end."

She added that it was difficult to find the right words at the moment, but she felt extremely grateful for Morgan's years of marriage and is hopeful for the next season.

Ballerini also admitted in a promo clip to her podcast "Call Her Daddy", that she didn't want to get married.

She explained that she had sworn I would never marry. "I believe he loved me more when I was 23 than he did at 29.

After Cooper called Evans' split between Ballerini & Evans "nasty", Evans agreed and said, "Yeah it did", before she began to hurl shade at her ex.

She said that Evans was putting out a song about being blindsided and that he is taking half of the house he didn’t pay for.

"How could I have been married for so long to this person and not know that there was that little bit of character in that human being?" She said.

In the episode teaser, "Half of My Hometown", the singer of "Half of My Hometown," shared her thoughts about dating and revealed her relationship status.

"I have never really dated!" Ballerini said that she doesn't understand how it works. She was rumored to have fallen in love with Chase Stokes, a "Outer Banks” star.

Ballerini laughed when she was asked if she was "single" at present. Do you think I am single? God. Um... nope."

"So you're dating Chase Stokes?!" Cooper asked this question before the clip ended.

Ballerini's complete "Call Her Daddy!" episode airs Wednesday at midnight.
