spoke out about the ongoing feud between Sarah Jessica and Kim ahead of the December premiere. He said that he liked Kim and thought she was "marvelous," but he didn't understand Sarah Jessica's negative portrayals of her. He said that he wishes "that whole thing never happened" because it was painful and unsettling.
"I must tell you that I don't know what she is thinking or feeling. SJ is very close to me, and Kim's descriptions of her are not even close. SJ is a target, and people can be very nasty. I don't like it when anyone talks down about her. She is very important to me and that made me unhappy. "That's all I can say about it," Chris said to The Guardian.
Chris asked Kim why she didn't return to the series. He said that he was certain that she had her reasons, but he didn’t know their details.

Showrunner Michael Patrick King explains Why They Decided To Have Samantha Move
Michael Patrick King, showrunner, explained to Samantha why they decided to move to London after the premiere. He said that although it was possible for Samantha to return, it didn't leave any room for her to do so.
"Our show is all about breaking ups. Kim moved on. She doesn't want to play Samantha. What can we do for Samantha? She was loved by everyone. Samantha is our love. Samantha is always alive and well.
