They don't fear ghosts!

Comedy stars Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani and others will star in the sequel of 2021's "Ghostbusters: Afterlife," due to be released in December 2023.

Nanjiani took to Twitter after Friday's casting news became the headlines.

"Ghostbusters was the first movie I loved," said "The Big Sick". "I can still remember how it made me feel the first time I saw it. Is it horror and comedy combined in one movie? This movie was perfect for me. I watched it many times.

He also praised the film's script writers, saying "The script was unbelievably great." It's amazing that I am able to be part of this world.

Oswalt, Nanjiani, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind (Gossip Girl) are joining the sequel. Deadline reports that Gil Kenan will direct and Jason Reitman, the previous director, will produce and write the film.

Reitman is, of course. He is the son Ivan Reitman who directed the original "Ghostbusters" movies.

"Afterlife" was a reboot that focused on Egon Spengler's grandchildren (the late Harold Ramis). They inherited his home and also had the Ecto-1, proton pack, and mission to stop the evil Gozer. Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard and Carrie Coon starred as the children in the middle of the action. Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon also appeared.

Ernie Hudson, Dan Aykroyd, and Bill Murray, the original Ghostbusters, appeared in the film along with stars Sigourney Weber and Annie Potts. It is unclear if they will be returning in the next film. The franchise's New York roots are reportedly being re-imagined as an iconic firehouse.
