Lewis Capaldi shared his announcement on Twitter that he had canceled all of his shows in the next three week so that he could "take a minute to rest and recuperate."

The Scottish singer-songwriter wrote: "This is an extremely difficult message and it hurts me to have typed, but I am going to cancel all my commitments until I perform at Glastonbury, on the 24th of June."

Capaldi said that his new album "Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent" was a great success. "Seeing all the support I received from everyone is beyond anything I ever imagined," he added.

Capaldi continued, "I'm still struggling to cope with everything at the moment. I haven’t been home since Christmas, and I haven’t had time to recover from the stress of the past few months."

He added, "I'm going to need a few weeks to recover and rest so I can be ready for Glastonbury as well as all the other amazing shows that are coming up. I want to do what I love forever." "I'm going to spend these three weeks being Lewis from Glasgow, spending time with family and friends, and doing some things I enjoy to feel better. I hope everyone understands."

Capaldi has previously spoken out about his Tourette syndrome diagnosis. He has also discussed how his career affects his mental health.

The singer stated that she would stop doing this if things got worse and she stopped taking care of herself.

The 26-year old also spoke about the financial impact these cancellations could have on some fans.

Capaldi wrote: "I'm sorry to the extent that this situation will affect you. I know many of us have spent money for travel or hotel, and I understand how hard things are at the moment. I am therefore extremely sorry."

The singer said, "I feel extremely lucky that you are willing to spend your money, time and love at these shows.

Capaldi concluded, "I am getting all the support and help I need from incredible people who are around me. I'm grateful." "I don't take this for granted, and I can't be more excited to do it again."
