Lili Reinhart, and Sydney Sweeney have put to rest rumors about a split after an awkward exchange between the two at the Venice International Film Festival became viral.

The Riverdale actor and the Euphoria actress were both in attendance Friday at an Armani Beauty Event. Reinhart, who was posing with Lukas Gage and Maude Apatow in a photo, received a hug from Sweeney as she approached the group.

The internet captured Reinhart's expression after Sweeney arrived, leading fans to question if the two had any bad blood.

One commenter on TikTok wrote, "Wait until you see what's happening here." Another commented, "I need teaaaa."

It turned out that the camera caught Reinhart at an inopportune moment. The 26-year old actress quickly shut down the speculation by posting a selfie with the two from the festival.

Reinhart wrote, "We'll always be here for you if we are needed," over an Instagram Story photo of Sweeney and her smiling. Sweeney re-shared the message on her Instagram Story.

Lili alluded to this incident in a tweet she sent out, saying "Stop turning women into villains every time you can" -- Sweeney liked the post as well.

In fact, the two are so close that they double-dated in Italy with their partners. In photos, shared by Daily Mail, Reinhart with her boyfriend Jack Martin and Sweeney with her fiance Jonatan were seen on a stylish evening out with Sweeney. The night included a boat trip through Venice's canals.
