The 26-year-old singer gave her fans an update via Just Jared. She revealed that she had stopped taking the medication she used for more than a decade.

Lorde wrote: "I stopped taking the little yellow pill that I had taken every morning since I was 15 years old. I haven't taken it for 5 days." "Gonna have to see what happens."

Lorde has also spoken out about her health issues that led to this decision.

She continued, "My body is inflamed and it's telling me something." "I try to support it, but nothing helps and I get frustrated."

"My stomach isn't functioning properly, my skin looks worse than ever and I've been sick a dozen times."

Lorde has also spoken out about her relationship with her body, and how she listens to it when it is in need.

The singer continued, "I learned earlier this year that it was hard for me to listen to my body. It's something I had never really mastered."

"I have been trying to learn that lesson this year. It's hard, and it has been pretty confronting. It's made me aware of the many times I ignored or did not give it what it required, shamed it because it had a fight-or-flight response, or took a handful pills and forced through."

Lorde has also spoken about "living heartbreak again."

Lorde has been working with Justin Warren, a music producer since 2016, and said that the two have a "different but similar" relationship.

She said, "I'm always in pain. I forget the reason and then remember." "I don't try to hide the pain. I now understand that pain is not something to hide, and that it's beautiful to move with it. "But sometimes I get sick of myself."

Lorde, despite her heartbreak, is "excited" for the future.

"I'm sure I'll look back at this year with fondness, and perhaps a little awe. It was the year when everything fell into place. The year where I transitioned from my childhood to the next decade of working."

Lorde concluded, "I'm excited about one that I can't wait to see." It's hard to be in it.
