Luke Bryan will address the "absurd” remarks he made on stage about Dustin Lynch, his friend and fellow country star.

Bryan posted to his Instagram Stories after the backlash against the "Play It Again” singer over his apparent ranting about Lynch that he had made during Sunday's Crash My Playa music festival.

The 46-year old country singer shared a video on Thursday. He filmed it from "a flood cornfield" while "duck hunting." He also apologized for his comments about Lynch, 37.

Bryan stated, "Dustin Lynch has been one of my closest friends on the planet." "No one loves him more than me, and that night at Crash My Playa... my introduction to him was complete sarcasm. I thought everyone would see it as sarcasm because those words were so absurd.

He added, "Obviously some people didn’t."

Bryan mocked Lynch as he introduced Lynch at Crash My Playa on Saturday night. He said, "No one has drunk more liquor, no person has vomited less, no body has taken more drugs, and no body has received more IVs than this gentleman."

Lynch was the singer of "Country Girl", and he added, "He doesn't have diseases!" He is healthy!

Some TikTok users were critical of Bryan's comments. However, Lynch, an American Idol judge, stated that he and Lynch are good friends.

Dustin was the one I spoke to. He is my best friend. Bryan stated that he and I are all fine, before addressing anyone who might have been offended by his comments. "I sincerely apologize to anyone who doesn't get my humor or sarcasm. This has been going on for years down there."

The "Knockin’ Boots" singer encouraged his fans to "go download Dustin’s new single," which is called "Stars Like Confetti," before he signed off.

Lynch reposted Bryan’s video on his Instagram Stories on Thursday. This confirms Bryan's comment about reaching out to him.

Lynch also wrote: "Thx for calling, love you bro. It was all good.

He joked that he had "a lot of fun downthere with the pirates", referring to the festival which was held in Cancun Mexico.
