In the Friday episode of Mama June Family Crisis, June comforted Alana when she wept over her mother's absence from her life in her final year of highschool.

Mama Jane has reached a significant milestone in the repair of their relationship with her daughter Alana "Honey Boo Boo".

On Friday's episode Mama June: Family CrisisJune and her daughter Alana shared an emotional moment. June gave Alana a "first hug" in many years.

The episode showed June and her three daughters, Jessica "Chubs", Alana and Lauryn "Pumpkin", going on a retreat to try and improve their relationship.

During Alana's therapy session with Dr. Ish June was asked to show her that it is okay to be "emotional."

"I am glad we were able to spend time together today. I hope we can get together soon. June said to her daughter "I love your too," and she added Dr. Ish. It was better that she didn't text it.

Dr. Ish then asked Alana what "meant" it to her, if on the first day at school her mother had held her and said "I love you." Now, go on and kick some arse.

Alana stopped, then burst out in tears. June, seeing her daughter's emotional state, followed suit.

"I feel that my mother should be at the graduation," Alana said through tears. Alana cried as she said, "I feel like my mom should be at my prom." "She should be there at all my little school events, such as Honors Day, or whatever they may be. Just the little senior activities that I have."

Alana continued, "Everyone at school says "My mother, my mother, my mum" and I have to always say "my sister." "I don’t want to have that to say."

She said, "I'd like to say that my mom did it, or does it for me. Or I'm going to my mother today."

Dr. Ish told June that her daughter had clearly been upset and it was now her turn to "go comfort" her.

June embraced her daughter Alana, who was still sobbing, and pulled her into a hug of comfort.

Alana revealed in a confessional that it was the very first time since a long time that they had hugged each other.

She said, "This is probably the first time Mama has given me a real hug in -- I won't lie -- probably five or six years." It feels great to receive a hug from your mother. It was really nice. "I'm not going to lie."
