June Shannon is told by Lauryn Elfird that she can't show up for her own kids and that she's worried about the wedding.
Mama June Shannon might have some hiccups as she tries to get to the altar.
The trailer for "Mama June": Family Crisis, the new season's trailer, teased strong emotions about the 43-year old family matriarch's wedding plans as well as her complicated relationships with her daughters Alana "Honey Boo Boo", and Lauryn Elfird ("Pumpkin") Thompson.
Lauryn, 23, claimed that Shannon is trying to reconcile with her children because of her impending nuptials.
Alana, 17 years old, revealed that she intended to skip the ceremony and stated, "I'm going not."
The teaser featured June's attempts to plan her wedding with Justin Stroud. It also showed her conflicted relationship with her daughters. Lauryn said that she had not spoken to her mother in the past year since their publicized court battle over Alana’s child support. Shannon was granted full custody by Elfrid and Shannon was ordered to pay child support for the rest of her life, until she turns 18.
Lauryn stated that she wanted to fix it immediately because she was getting married. Mama June responded with a firm "No!"
Although her daughters might be skeptical of her motives, reality star appears determined in her efforts to reconnect with her kids.
Shannon said, "I go to bed and I'll cry." "There are things that the world doesn't know."
Lauryn seems to be firm in her determination to keep her distance with her mother. "Why should she forgive me if her ways aren't going to change?" She admitted.
June isn’t the only one having trouble reconciling with family members. Lauryn also shares her struggles with raising her younger sibling and four children with Josh Efird.
The teaser featured an opportunity where Lauryn encouraged Alana that she start her college applications. To which, the high school junior responded, "You're even not my mama for real."
She confessed that her priority was her family of seven. It's hard. Alana's diva attitude reminds of Mama and Jessica's keeping secrets.
Jessica "Chubbs Shannon" seems to avoid drama for most of it, but the 26-year old revealed that she has been "dating someone" and hadn't told her family.
Mama June's husband and tensions are high, with Stroud calling her out on her behavior. You lied to me. He said, "It's absurd. I didn't realize that I married a f---ing lie."
Shannon invites her family to join her on a weekend of therapy, as the teaser ends.
Lauryn said that actions speak louder than words during the session. Alana also noted that Lauryn "deceived me so much".
June cried, "I do miss y'all, I do."
"Mama June" will premiere May 5, at 9 p.m. ET on WE TV.
