The Riverdale actor says, "I thought I'd do it just to be safe."

Kelly Ripa cried laughing when she saw her husband Mark Consuelos blurring out his crotch.

The 52-year old couldn't hold back her tears after watching a clip of Consuelos' soccer game on Tuesday's "Live with Kelly and Mark".

The new daytime TV host went to see a physical therapist after pulling a leg muscle. The 52-year old "Riverdale'" star wore a pair of tight shorts, and asked production to pixelize the crotch for precaution.

"Are You Crying?" Consuelos asked her when the show returned to them at the desk.

Ripa laughed as she wiped her tears with a tissue. "No, I am laughing because of the pixelation on your crotch."

He giggled. "They didn't have to pixelate it, but I can see that people get a little upset if there are tight shirts. So I thought I'd do it, just to be safe."

In February, Ryan Seacrest revealed that he was leaving the "Live with Kelly & Ryan" show after six years as a co-host.

Consuelos was appointed Seacrest's permanent, full-time replacement after Seacrest left. The "All My Children's" star started on April 17.
