Martha Stewart explains the origins of Snoop's unexpected, but delightful friendship.

In a video for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover, the 81 year-old lifestyle icon revealed she met the rapper the first time he appeared on the cooking show of the same name. Her viral friendship with Snoop began only after they performed together at Justin Bieber’s Comedy Central roast.

"Well, Snoop appeared on my show and the first thing that was charming about Snoop was his giggle. Stewart remembered that he giggles very nicely. "And his thirst for knowledge!" "He is a true student and that is what I really liked."

The media mogul and Bieber were sitting next to one another at Bieber’s roast when the latter recalled that the "California Love' artist had smoked marijuana during rehearsals.

She said that "all he did was to smoke and everyone was in a great mood, we were roasting eachother," which allowed her relax and take some pressure off her performance.

Martha continued: "Snoop's secondhand smoking really eased my pain a lot. It was hilarious because I felt like, 'Okay.' I'll just go with the flow. It was one of the most amazing things, and it cemented my friendship with Snoop."

Since then, their friendship is a thing of the past. Snoop has appeared on the Martha Stewart show several times since the roast. They have also co-hosted VH1 celebrity cooking shows "Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party", and "Snoop & Martha's Very Delicious Halloween".

They have also appeared in Super Bowl ads and co-hosted Puppy Bowl competitions.

Stewart became the oldest model to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2023. The businesswoman revealed that she does not "think much about age" but was motivated to show the world how people of her age can still grace any magazine's cover.

She said in an interview that when she heard she was going to appear on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover, "I thought, "Oh, that's good. I'm gonna become the oldest person, I believe, ever on a Sports Illustrated cover." "I don’t think much about my age, but this is historic and I had to look good."

Stewart continued, "I wanted to show people that a woman of my age could still look good and feel good. She can be good. "I want to make other women feel like they can be on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover."

She said that age is not a factor when it comes to friendships or success. What people do, think and act are more important.

What will her longtime friend Snoop think about the photos? "Snoop will think it's fantastic!"
