Markle Joins Prince Harry and Malala Itsafzai on the 'KindList'

Prince Harry and Markle were listed together on Hello! magazine’s annual Kind List. They also included Sarah Ferguson, BindiIrwin, Malala Itsafzai and Andy Murray. The magazine asked honorees to name someone who inspired them.

Markle named Kate Stephens, CEO of Smart Works, after her passion for empowering women. This charity in the UK helps women prepare for interviews by providing everything they need, from outfits to wear to the interview to coaching sessions to help them.

According to the website, "Smart Works is transformative." "93% feel more confident about their next interview, 97% feel confident in their new clothes, and 93% feel more aware of their strengths. We are proud of 72% who get a job.

Markle Shouts Smart Works CEO Kate Stephens

Markle is a patron of Smart Works from 2019 and has praised Stephens' work. She told Hello that one form of kindness that is especially meaningful is when women support and uplift other women.

"Kate Stephens is Smart Works' CEO and works with her team every day to empower thousands of women in the UK and give them the tools and support they need to be successful in the workplace."

She said, "The ability for you to walk into a space feeling your best should not be considered a privilege, but a right." The Smart Works team, under Kate's inspirational leadership, provides meaningful coaching, community and work attire, equipping women in need with the confidence and resources to make lasting changes in their lives.

Markle continued by saying that Stephens leads by example and proves that when women invest in women, they invest in our collective future. Markle called Smart Works her "incredible privilege."

Markle visited Smart Works centers during her time as a patron and spent time with employees as well as women who work for the organization. Smart Works' mission and praises by the Duchess of Sussex are already raising awareness.
