Hart stated that her children attend school "right next to Covenant" as she shared her connection with Sandy Hook elementary school during the 2012 shooting.

Melissa Joan Hart shares an emotional story about how her husband and she helped kindergarteners fleeing the shooting at The Covenant School.

On Monday, six people were killed at the Nashville elementary school. Three children and three adults were all nine years old.

Hart uploaded a video to Instagram Tuesday, in which she recalls the horrible experience and revealed that her sons go to Covenant school.

The actress said that her children go to school near a school where there has been a shooting. She also shared that it wasn't the first time she had visited a school with a shooting.

"We came here from Connecticut, where we attended school a bit down from Sandy Hook. This is our second school shooting experience, with our children being within close proximity," she stated, referring to the 2012 mass shooting in which 26 people were killed, including 20 elementary school students.

Hart said, "Fortunately we are all okay."

According to "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" alumni, who has sons Mason, 17, Braden (15), and Tucker (10), with Mark Wilkerson, she said that Wilkerson and her "were on their way to school for conferences" so their children weren’t at school Monday.

Hart and her husband were on their way, but Hart jumped in to help children fleeing the Covenant shooting.

Hart said, looking a little tearful, "We helped a class kindergartners cross a busy highway." They were climbing out of woods. They were trying escape from the school shooter situation. We helped these little children cross the road to get their teachers.

She said, "We helped mom reunite with her kids and I just... I don't know how to explain it anymore. Enough is enough. Pray for the families.

Hart captioned her video with "Prayers today and Action tomorrow." "This video was too raw to upload yesterday, but I wanted you to hear the story."

Police say that Audrey Hale, 28, opened fire on The Covenant School Monday and shot six people, three of them 9-year old students and three adults working at the school.

Evelyn Dieckhaus and William Kinney were the 9-year-olds who were killed. Hallie Scruggs was also among them. Three adults died in the tragedy: Katherine Koonce, headmaster of the school, Mike Hill, custodian and Cynthia Peak, substitute teacher. All three of the victims were in their 60s.

Hale was a former student at the school and was later shot and killed by police.
