The actor revealed that he and "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World's" co-star, considered taking a detour and tying the knot while driving through Sin City. They then shared the hilarious "idea", which inspired their almost-wedding.

Michael Cerarecalls a wild tale from his relationship with Aubrey Plaza.

In an article published on Friday by Rolling Stone the actor revealed that he and Plaza "almost spontaneously" married in Las Vegas, while they were still together. He also said that they had considered getting married or divorced.

Cera recalled that they were "driving through Vegas" when they almost spontaneously decided to get married.

The 35-year old replied, "Yeah." When asked if the situation would have been like an "Elvis Chapel," he said. You get a certificate. I think that the plan was to get divorced right away so we could both call each other "my ex-husband" and "my ex wife" at about... 20."

Plaza and Cera first met in 2010 while filming "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World." They dated for more than a year-and-a-half. It wasn't until several years after the couple's relationship was revealed on RuPaul's podcast "What's the Tee With Michael Visage", in 2016, that the public learned of their dating.

Cera is said to have married Nadine, his long-time partner, in 2017 or 2018. It was revealed last year that the couple, who had been relatively secretive about their relationship, welcomed their first baby.

Plaza married Jeff Baena, her husband, in 2021.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Cera said only positive things about Plaza and her career.

Cera stated, "She's always shown such dedication to her work." It's not surprising that she is doing so well. What surprises me is the amount of work she puts in and how many projects she produces. It's amazing. Ingrid goes West It was great."

Soon, the former couple will work together on Netflix Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" anime. The streamer announced in March that the original cast, including Cera Plaza and Plaza, would be reprising their roles.
