One Twitter User's "Incredibly Thorough" Holiday Plans Go Viral

Khalid El Khatib tweeted: "My mom's annual "home for the holidays" email to me and my brothers just dropped," along with a screenshot from his mom's email. "A detailed, thorough and detail-rich look at how I can gain 15 pounds in a week.

This email contains a detailed schedule, menu and entry about what activities and meals the family will be doing in the days leading to Christmas. Khatib's mother wrote, "Sunday the 18th: Arrivals." Rest and Happy Joes Pizza for dinner. You can also grab Chex mix, puffed popcorn and other snacks throughout the day.

The schedule described a "workday" that included chili dinner, a "summer hamburger night", a trip to a local brewery and lunch. If they wish, boys can join.

Khatib added screenshots to the original tweet, and also included screenshots of the rest. This email contained a detailed list of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meals. Many jokedly asked if they could be part of the holiday plans.

One person replied, "invite moi pls, I would like to join [the girls’] mani-pedi wine tasting day," Another replied, "Bourbon tasting?" Ina's mac & cheese? What is Hallmark of The Midwest? Manicures? Taco dip? How do I sign-up for this week's wonder? !"

Others also praised Khatib’s mom's organizational skills. One person said, "Anyone who thinks this is 'over-scheduled' doesn't realize how much stress it removes from the week. "No last-minute planning, no surprises. It sounds like heaven.
