Julia Haart from My Unorthodox Life has just revealed a shocking truth about her brother.

Haart revealed on Tuesday's episode, of Amanda Hirsch's not Skinny But Not Fat Podcast, that her mother had asked her to nurse her younger brother - who is 23 years older than her - just months after she welcomed her daughter.

You want to hear something really mindf---k? Haart replied, "I nursed my sister." My mother said, "Oh, you are already nursing your daughters, take this too." So I ended up nursing both my brother and daughter. "Now that's a mindf---k."

The fashion designer shared at the time that her mother, who is now 29, had given birth Shlomo and she herself had just given her Batsheva.

Haart, a member of the Haredi sect -- an Orthodox Judaism subsect -- confirmed that the practice was not unusual in "her world."

"Back a few hundred years ago, everyone used a wet nursing. Haart explained that you didn't breastfeed your baby.

Wet nurses, women hired to nurse another woman's baby, are still used by communities such as the Haredi, who oppose modern values and practices.

Haart, when asked if this ancient tradition still exists today, said that it is. She compared the world in which she lived to the 1800s.

Haart, who left the community in the past, stated that "people would have to travel back to another time" to understand the world he used to live.

Reality TV star, who left Haredi Orthodox Judaism in 2013, at age 42, became the subject for a Netflix series documenting her journey of raising a modern family.

Haart explained that she had always questioned the practices of the church, but it was only when her daughter Miriam began to have questions about her own.

Haart stated, "They convinced me that there was something wrong with me because I questioned, but once she began to question it, then I realized that it wasn't me. It's the system and the system isn't OK."

She went on to say, "Miriam was the beginning and ending of my story. Miriam is the reason I am alive today. 100 percent."
