Nick Cannon on Choosing Celibacy after Announcement of Eighth Child: Felt like I was out of control

Cannon also shared his reasons for not announcing the news initially while he was grieving the loss of Zen, his son.

After he announced this week the birth of his eighth child, Nick Cannon made clear his commitment to celibacy.

The "Wild N Out" host made a return appearance on his most recent episode of "The Nick Cannon Show" in order to clarify his recent "celibacy" journey and confirm that his time off didn't begin until he found out he was going be a father again.

The 41-year old revealed that her therapist said she believed I should be celibate. This was because she had heard about Bre's pregnancy.

Tiesi's pregnancy was revealed by "The Masked Singer", and Cannon admitted that he didn't know what to do. He tried to "get a grip" on his life after learning. Cannon said that he felt "out of control" and that the celibacy helped him through the process of getting one with himself and dealing with the situation.

He stated, "That was why I began my celibacy journey back in that time." "So, for anyone thinking, 'Oh! He wasn't celibate', I was!

The 41-year old spoke candidly about his personal life, as well as his commitment to celibacy for at least the next year, while appearing on the podcast " Drink Champs".

"I'm trying not to be too serious. I'm just chilling out. He said that he was stepping back, getting focused, going inside, and getting his celibacy on. "I have enough children. Enough frolicking. Right now, I am fine. ... I'm trying. I didn't say that I was perfect.

He said, "I am celibate right at the moment. ... I want to get there - I'm going to see if it's possible to make it to 2022... "I'm determined to be the best father and best businessman that I can."

The 41-year old TV personality, who is self-titled, announced Monday's arrival of a baby. He explained why he had initially delayed revealing the news while grieving Zen's death.

"This was always there in my head, like, "What is the right moment?" "How do I share it?" He stated this on his daytime talk program. "I wanted to respect the grieving process [with Alyssa Scott], but Bre was kind enough--she waited to make our announcements and spoke on social media."

After photos from the couple's gender reveal party at Malibu, California over the weekend surfaced, the confirmation was confirmed.

Cannon said, "I wasn't sure what to say when it came to Zen or to hold on," Cannon added. Even though it's out now, it wasn't intended to be discussed. It happened. We are here, and I am with my family."
