Nikki Bella opens up about why she wore the dress originally meant for John Cena's wedding during her nuptials with Artem Chugivintsev.

The 39-year old WWE star explained that she saw the dress as a mere material object and felt it unfair to discard her dream dress because of any past history.

Bella said that she had the "moment with that dress" when she saw it in an interview with Us Weekly. It was everything I had hoped for.

In fact, the author of "Incomparable" claimed that she felt empowered by keeping the dress on her body even after she and the wrestler, who was 45 years old, parted ways.

Bella admitted that she struggled with the decision and shared her process. It [reflects] my strength as a woman. I was like, wait, why shouldn't I wear what I love?" Because of my past. It didn't make any sense to me."

The reality star was not the only one who disagreed with her decision. Nikki claimed that Brie Bella, her sister, was against her decision to wear it. She then said that she would only change her mind if Chigvintsev had an issue with it.

Surprisingly, the professional from "Dancing With The Stars", 40 years old, was cool about it and agreed with her logic.

He sees it as a mere material thing. He wanted me to save some money, but I didn't realize that I had bought several other dresses afterwards," Nikki said.

Artem said, "I didn’t think it would be that big of an issue for people to react the way I did... I think [if] there’s] an issue with them, they’re bringing some energy into our happiness."

Bella and Cena ended their six-year engagement in 2018 after Bella and Cena split. In 2019, Bella and Cena decided to end their six-year engagement. The "Total Bellas” star moved on with Chigvintsev in 2019. They announced their engagement in the next year. Nikki and Artem welcomed Matteo in July 2020. They were married in Paris, France in August 2022.
