After TMZreported Wednesday that Britney Spears and Sam Asghari separated after a one-year marriage, a message Octavia sent to the singer in response to the couple's engagement for 2021 has resurfaced and gone viral again.

Britney, 41 revealed in September 2021 on Instagram that Sam, 29, and she were engaged. Britney captioned the video, "I cannot f---king believe !!!!!!"

While many fans sent their congratulatory messages, Octavia (53), took a practical approach and wrote, "Make him Sign a Prenup."

Sam shared in his Instagram Story later that he and Britney were planning to get a "iron-clad prenup."

Octavia apologized to the couple a few days after her comments about encouraging them to sign a prenup.

"Y'all... a few weeks ago Sam and Britney revealed their engagement, and me being myself I made a prank," she captioned an Instagram photo of Britney with Sam. "My intention wasn't to cause them pain, but rather make them laugh. I apologized privately to this couple and want to bring them back a little bit of the happiness that was stolen from them. Britney's supporters have seen her go through a lot and now she has found happiness. We are thrilled for Britney. Let's show her love. #nonegativity."

TMZreported on Friday that the prenup stipulates that Sam receives absolutely no and is not entitled to spousal maintenance. Sources told the outlet, however, that Britney and Sam would likely negotiate.

Octavia’s warning, even if made in jest, has been circulated widely on social media. Many fans have praised the Oscar winner for predicting that the marriage wouldn't last.
