John Easterling, the widower of the singer, also spoke about her final days in an intimate interview.

In an interview with Hoda Khotb, Olivia Newton-John's husband is sharing details about the final moments of the singer and how they are coping.

John Easterling and Chloe Lattanzi sat side-by-side for the sit down with Kotb. They spoke about how the "Grease” star died last August at the age 73 after a long battle with metastatic breast carcinoma.

Lattanzi said, "I love my mother more than anything and that she's my mumma. She's not Olivia Newton John but she's Olivia Newton John for me." Lattanzi also shared her mother's final words.

She said that the last words she could speak to me was "My sunshine" and that she used jokes to make fun of her loss.

She said, "It's felt like a hug from the universe. I'm so grateful to all the people who extended their hearts and connected with us."

Newton-John's 14-year-old husband, Easterling, recalled his wife as being "very giving" with the ability to "authentically care for people like I've never seen."

He said that she was also "very conscious" of the fact that she was nearing the end her life.

He said, "It's an uphill climb, but she had the willpower to really bring in light and love, even during her most difficult times." Before he went on to explain how he has been able to grieve.

"Another guy who was flying with me said that John, when you are fortunate enough to find your true soulmate, and share a love, then the other has the obligation of living life for both. That was very empowering for me and gave me a way forward," he said. Kotb responded emotionally.

He said that she had left a message for all her fans, urging them to be grateful and to show their love to those they love.

They spoke to "TODAY" about Newton-John's last recording, which was a duet of "Jolene", with Dolly Parton. You can listen to the track below.
