Olivia Rodrigo Addresses Rumored Feud with Taylor Swift

"I was caught off-guard. The singer admitted that adding retroactively co-writing credit to multiple songs on her first album, including Swift's, was confusing at the time.

Olivia Rodrigosets the record straight about rumors that her and her former idol, Taylor Swift are feuding.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, for its latest cover article, the 20 year old singer denied that she had "beefs" with Swift or anyone else.

Rodrigo stated, "I have no beef with anyone." "I am very relaxed. "I'm very chill. My mom and four of my friends are the only people with whom I ever talk. "There's nothing else to say."

She added, "There are so many Twitter conspiracies." "I only consider alien conspiracy theories."

Rodrigo added Jack Antonoff and St. Vincent to her song "Deja Vu" as co-writers. Rumors of a feud between the artists started after Rodrigo did so quietly. She added Antonoff and Swift as co-writers to "1 Step forward, 3 steps back" from the same album Sour. Rodrigo and Swift have never worked together in person. She only acknowledged Swift and her crew retroactively for the two songs.

According to The Guardian Rodrigo, Swift received 50 percent of her royalties for these tracks as well as Paramore's hit "Good 4 U."

Rodrigo admitted that he was "a little surprised" when Rolling Stone inquired about adding retroactively the co-writing credit to the various artists. It was confusing at the time, and I had a lot of green eyes and bushy tails. "Is that phrase?"

She added that "I was not super involved" in the project, but did not confirm or deny that she was needed to add credits. "It was a team effort. "I wouldn't be a good person to ask."

Rodrigo has addressed the speculation that 'Vampire, the first single from Guts was about Swift.

"I don't want to reveal the subject of any of my songs. In a recent interview, she told The Guardian that she had never done this before in her career and likely won't. "I don't think it is a good idea to pigeonhole songs to be about one particular thing."

"I was surprised that people thought this," the former Disney Channel star added.

Rodrigo previously stated how Swift had a huge influence on her creativity. Rodrigo has ceased to praise Swift since the credit issue.

Swift chose Sabrina Carpenter, who many fans believe was the inspiration for "Driver's License," to be her Eras Tour.
