Rudd plays a strange ferret-loving postman in "A Good One," a music video by a young fan.

Paul Rudd made the wildest dreams of a fan come true - and it was all thanks to a chance meeting at a Taylor Swift concert.

The alternative musician Claud released a music video over the weekend for their song A Good Thingstarring Rudd in a role as an awkward, but lovable postman (when is Rudd notlikable?) The story of how Rudd's cameo was made is touching to say the least.

Claud posted a TikTok clip on Sunday, titled I Got Paul Rudd To Make A Cameo In My Music Video to explain how the MCU actor appeared in their music video.

The Indie singer said that they saw Rudd in the VIP tent during Swift's Eras Tour, and approached the 54-year old actor.

The 24-year-old musician explained that the name of the song came from trying to "imagine" themselves as "cool, confident, and charismatic" like Rudd on screen.

He was very nice and gave me his email. "Send it to Me!" he said. They continued, "I'd love your album."

Claud claimed that Rudd emailed him to tell him "he loved the record." Claud was enthused by Rudd's response and asked him if he would be interested in appearing in their music video for "A Good One." Rudd accepted.

They said, "It was my best day ever," adding that Rudd "stayed for five hours and we shot the whole scene, dancing outside."

Rudd, who appears as an unreliable mailman, begins the song by knocking on Claud's front door. He then tries to give the singer almost all of the mail he has in his bag while mentioning that his ferret had "something wrong with its eye."

Rudd's Claud received a gift from his girlfriend. He quickly replied, "Girlfriend?" I wish I had girlfriend. "I only have a pet ferret."

Rudd appears in the video one more time after the first scene, where he dances with Claud along the sidewalk.
