"Fidelity in all relationships, especially marriages, is important to me."

Penn Badgley said that he asked the "You" producers for a reduction in the number of steamy scenes on the new season.

During a Stitcher Studios podcast appearance, the 36-year old "You" actor said that he had asked the showrunner to limit how many sex scenes he would have to film for season four.

"I asked Sera Gamble [the creator], 'Can you just stop doing any more intimate scenes?' This was a decision that I made before I started the show. Although I don't believe I have ever spoken out about it, the key question is: Do I want to go back on a career where I'm always the romantic lead? He said.

Badgley clarified that filming intimate scenes does not constitute cheating.

Domino Kirke, a former "Gossip girl" star, was married to Domino in 2017. The couple have a two-year-old boy named James.

He continued, "It reached a point [I thought], I don’t want to do this,’ so I said to Sera like, My desire would be zero [intimate scene], to go zero to 100,'"

Penn understood that even though he requested it, it might not be possible. "I signed this agreement." I signed up to the show. I know exactly what I did."

"You cannot take this part out of the DNA, so 'How can you make it less?' Badgley elaborated.

Gamble didn't blink an eye, thankfully. Gamble was very happy that I was so honest and felt almost empowered. They responded positively and returned with a remarkable reduction.
