Before being shocked by Netflix's star, the actress from "Santa Clarita Diet", said that "this is the most exciting blindfolded adventure I've ever experienced."

Drew Barrymore is Penn Badgley’s biggest fan

The surprise birthday special of Drew Barrymore's "The Drew Barrymore show" was an unforgettable moment for the 47-year old actress. One of her favorite stars greeted her.

A short clip was shared to Instagram by Ross Matthews, a co-host. He led Barrymore blindfolded into a similar glass cage to that featured on Netflix's "You." Badgley's character Joe Goldberg uses the cage to trap and capture his victims before he eventually decides to kill them in the series.

Matthews told the talk-show host, "Don't take the blindfold off," as she moved into the cage. Matthews instructed her to stay put for a second. It's not your fault.

The "Charlie's Angels star exclaimed, "This is the most thrilling blindfolded experience that I've ever had." "I hear chains?"

Matthews showed Barrymore the keys to the lock, and then instructed her to take off her blindfold. She excitedly explored the cage with her audience and waved at them.

"You are in a glass enclosure because we know you love a show so we brought You' to you," the 43-year old "RuPaul's Drag Race” personality said.

Barrymore then enthusiastically greeted Badgley, who approached the glass cage holding a gift.

It's not supposed that this way! The 36-year old "Gossip Girl", alum, laughed when the star of "50 First Dates," collapsed to the ground in shock.

Badgley stated, as he placed the cleaner bottle into the compartment attached to his box: "Here, it's a birthday present for you, I know that you like to remove stains."

"This is not what you are supposed to want!" Barrymore responded by pointing out the implications of the enclosed glass. He cried. "You know me so well!"

Penn said that viewers need to examine themselves in order to understand why serial killers are attractive.

He laughed, saying "We have to look within." To be fair, we created something that you can fall in love with, so that's on us. Ted Bundy, it's on you. Jeffrey Dahmer, it's on you. It's weird, man. This is what our show explores."

The special episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show" celebrating a birthday will air on Wednesday February 22 at 22:00 on CBS

The first half of Season 4 of "You" is available on Netflix. The remaining episodes will drop on March 9.
