SNL was a unique show this week. COVID-19 sent every cast member except two out the door. One name was absent: Pete Davidson. However, his absence had nothing whatsoever to do with COVID-19. Here's what he did instead with Kim Kardashian.

Saturday Night Disheveled

December 18, 2021 will be remembered as a trivia question by SNL viewers. This is the first week-long show without a live audience or musical guest. CharliXCX, her guests, and the entire cast were sent home with them. Due to the COVID-19 Omicron variation, the show had to change its course completely.

With a small crew, the show did its best. Tina Fey, Tom Hanks and Paul Rudd were there to welcome him into the legendary five-timers club... without any audience. The show was based on sketches from years gone by and pre-tapes, which were recorded before the cast was sent home.

One sketch featured Davidson prominently in a pre-taped clip. Titled "An Evening With Pete", the Raging Bull parody shows Davidson performing in 2054. The robot bartender is worth a special mention. Davidson would have been on Saturday's show if the cast hadn't been sent home. Otherwise, this sketch wouldn’t exist.

Big Date Night

Davidson found himself suddenly with the night off. You wouldn't have expected him to go out on a night out if he had been tested positive for COVID-19 as many of his peers did. Instead, Davidson made the most out of it. Because he was on a date, Davidson didn't appear with Thompson or Che.

Kim Kardashian was the King Of Staten Island star who went on his first date in New York City. Scott Disick accompanied the two of them to see Spider-Man : No Way Home. They also had dinner together. What girl doesn't enjoy a good movie and dinner with her sister and her ex-boyfriend.

Burgeoning Romance

After she hosted SNL a few month ago, Kardashian and Davidson began to see one another. They shared a kiss at an Aladdin joke and then went on a date at Knott’s Berry Farm. According to People, Davidson was flying from New York City to LA to visit her.
