Priscilla Presley Says It's Been 'Dark Painstaking Journey' Following Lisa Marie's Death

She sends a new message to her fans thanking them for their support.

Priscilla Presley shared that messages from her fans have helped her cope with the loss of Lisa Marie Presley, her daughter.

Priscilla wrote on Monday, the day following the public memorial for the singer, that she wanted to thank her fans. Although it was difficult, knowing that there is love out there made a huge difference.

She added a message to that post on Thursday and thanked her followers for their support.

She wrote, "To YOU, my heart is overwhelmed by your words, prayers, love, and support." "I want to thank you for your support in helping me through this loss. It is a difficult and painful journey for any parent who has lost a child or daughter.

Lisa Marie, 54, died January 12, after she was rushed to hospital for a cardiac episode. Priscilla confirmed her death in a statement.

"It is with a heavy soul that I must share that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie was taken from us," Priscilla stated.

She said that she was the most passionate and strong woman she had ever met. We ask for privacy while we deal with this deep loss. We are grateful for your prayers and love. There will be no more comment at this time."

Lisa Marie is survived her three children, including twin girls Harper and Finley, 14 and actress Riley Keough, 14, respectively. Her mother Priscilla had a son Benjamin who died in 2020.

On Sunday, she was laid to rest at Graceland in Memphis. According to TMZ Lisa Marie's friends, family, and fans attended the public service in order to pay their respects. Austin Butler, who played the role of Elvis in Baz Luhmann's "Elvis", Sarah Ferguson, Duchess Of York, and Alanis Morrissette were among those who attended.

Priscilla delivered a moving eulogy during the memorial service before reading a moving poem she had written for her daughter, "The Old Soul".

She was born in 1968 and she is a fragile, strong, but tired child. She was fragile, but full of life. She knew she wouldn’t be around for too long. "Childhood passes, and with a glance of her green eyes, she then started her own family. Her second child was born, and she felt suspicious. "

"Time flew by, of course. She continued to read the poem, adding that it was time for a tragedy. She knew it was near the end. Some would argue that she was guilty of surviving, but her heart was broken and it was her death. "She is now home, where she belongs, but my heart misses her love."

Priscilla was overcome with emotion as she recited the last words of the poem. "She knew I loved her. She would be afraid that I wouldn't touch her. But I know that the old soul is always there for me. She doesn't drift high.
