Ralph Fiennes claimed that he played the decoy role in Bennifer 1.0 unknowingly

On Tuesday's "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen", the actor was asked if he was a "decoy" for their [relationship]. Referring to the first version of Ben Affleck's and Jennifer Lopez’s relationship.

Fiennes responded, "I was, and I was."

"Really?" Cohen probed. Cohen inquired.

Harry Potter's star Harry Potter said: "Yeah, yeah. I was set up."

The story behind the series of paparazzi photos showing him hugging J.Lo in 2002 was shared by he.

Fiennes and Lopez co-starred in "Maid In Manhattan", while gossip was rife about J.Lo's relationship. Lopez' agent and manager had dinner with Fiennes, the actor from "Grand Budapest Hotel".

Fiennes said that Lopez reconnected with Ben after he was divorced.

Jen and Ben met in 2002 when they were working together on "Gigli". J.Lo and Ben started dating after the split of Cris Judd. Lopez and Affleck got engaged in November 2002. They ended their engagement in 2004.

They reunited nearly twenty years later and the rest, well, is history.
