"I wanted a unique name that started with the letter R, so I finally settled on this one."

Rebel Wilson reveals the inspiration behind her unique name for her daughter.

The "Pitch Perfect" alum announced the birth of her first child via surrogate. She also revealed the name of her newborn, Royce Lilian Elizabeth Wilson.

Wilson spoke out about how important it was for her to find a unique title that begins with the letter R in an interview with People Magazine.

Rebel explained that she wanted an original name that started with the letter R, and finally settled on it. She also explained why her middle names were chosen for her daughter. "Lillian and Elizabeth are both family surnames carried by women in my family whom I admire," Rebel said.

Royce and Elizabeth share the same middle name. The actress, 42 years old, shared with us that Elizabeth was her name after the late Queen.

Wilson shared the news about her baby's arrival in an Instagram post earlier this week. She posted a sweet picture of Royce in pink and unicorn socks.

"I cannot even express the love that I feel for her. She's a beautiful miracle!" She gushed about it in her caption. "I am forever thankful to everyone who was involved, (you all know who you are), it has been years in making...but I especially wanted to thank my beautiful surrogate for carrying her and giving birth with such grace.

She called her daughter "the best gift" she had ever received. "I am ready and able to give little Roycie every love possible," she said. "I'm learning fast...much respect for all the Mums out here!"

Star of "Senior Years" has spoken out about her desire for children. She revealed that she had lost 80 lbs to get her fertility journey started.

Wilson revealed that she visited a fertility specialist in 2019, and was told she would have a better chance of freezing viable eggs. Wilson also shared her May story.

Wilson told People that he looked at me and said, "You'd do better if your health was better." "I was taken aback. "Oh my God, that guy is so rude," I thought. He was correct. I was carrying a lot of extra weight. It was almost as if I forgot to consider my own needs. It was thinking about the needs of my future children that inspired me to be healthier.

Rebel said that she began a year of health in 2020, and she lost more than 80 pounds. "It wasn’t a goal for me to lose weight." It was about being the best version of me.
