RHOC's Shannon Beador Speaks Out For First Time Since DUI and Hit-and-Run Arrest

RHOC's Shannon Beador Speaks Out For First Time Since DUI and Hit-and-Run Arrest

Shannon Beador, the star of 'RHOC,' was arrested on Sept. 16 for DUI and hit-and run after she allegedly drove onto a Newport Beach residential property.

Shannon Beador speaks out for the very first time, after being arrested last month for DUI and hit-and run.

Beador posted on Instagram, "I'm sorry it's taken me so long to post and there has been much talk about recent events."

The Real Housewives of Orange County actress continued: "But, unfortunately, right now, I am not in a position to comment. There will come a day when I am able to comment, and then I'll be honest and open.

Beador, who is 59 years old, continued, "Right Now, I'm focused on getting healthy, getting back to me, and walking Archie." She then turned to her golden retriever.

Beador was arrested nearly a month ago for driving under influence. TMZ reported that on September 16, the reality star drove into a Newport Beach residential property and hit the house. Beador allegedly then turned back onto the road, continued driving and parked her car in the middle street with her dog.

According to the outlet, Beador tried to pretend that she was walking when police arrived following a 911 call. She was arrested shortly thereafter and booked on two misdemeanors - hit-and run and DUI alcohol.

She was arrested and released on bail.

Michael Fell released a press release shortly thereafter, informing TMZ of Beador's willingness to accept responsibility for her actions.

I spent a lot of time yesterday with Shannon. Fell stated that Shannon was extremely sorry and remorseful. Shannon is ready to take full responsibility for the actions she took. We will await official information about this case when it becomes available.

Jeff Lewis, a former Bravolebrity , has rejected the notion of Beador having an alcohol problem despite the fact that she was referred to as drinking in the long-running reality show.

"I don’t think Shannon's an alcoholic." Lewis, a close friend of Shannon's, said last month that she was going through personal struggles and she may have been relying on alcohol. But I do not believe she is an alcoholic.

"I'm happy to report that she will be attending counseling this coming week," he said.

Gina Kirschenheiter also spoke about Beador's detention, and the dispute between the two after Kirschenheiter’s DUI in 2019.

Kirschenheiter stated during an episode on her Orange Country Podcast, "Yes, it's obvious that you can't overlook the fact that irony is major." "At the very end, I have thought a lot about Shannon and this situation in general and I don't feel like it. I won't kick someone who is down. "I've been there."

Kirschenheiter admitted to having an "I told You So" moment. She called the arrest karma, blaming Beador for her vitriol over her arrest. Beador claimed that Child Protective Services would have taken Kirschenheiter’s children away if it wasn't for Beador.

"I won't lie to everyone and say that I didn't get up and think, 'Oh sh--t', this is karma," admitted the RHOC actress, who stopped drinking alcohol following her arrest. "Then, very quickly I moved on from that. After a while, I became angry at a number of things. I then settled down to feel appropriate sympathy for her and the situation.

She continued, "I do not want anyone to be disappointed." I've never done it. "I just didn't wanted to be put down."
