The 55-year old fashion designer revealed that her genetic disorder incontinentia pigmenti has caused "scars on my skin" as well as "no eyebrows".

The Real Housewives of New York star Jenna Lyons is getting candid about genetic conditions.

In an appearance on The View, on Wednesday, the fashion designer aged 55 -- who has incontinentia pigmenti - revealed that both her teeth and hair are "fake" and she suffers scars "all around" her body as a result of the genetic disorder.

"All of my teeth are false." Lyons stated, "I paid a lot for them." "My hair's also fake." It's removable. It's just like a hat. It's not like a wig."

"My eyelashes is fake." "I have no eyebrows and also scars on my skin," she said.

Lyons continued, "I was very conscious." "It was one of the main reasons I got into fashion. I wanted to be better-looking. "I was always trying to find new ways to fit in."

According to Cleveland Clinic incontinentia pigmenti is a genetic condition "with distinctive rashes or lesions that are seen at birth, or within the first couple of weeks."

Lyons, who had a hard time finding false eyelashes that she liked, decided to design her own, called Love Seen.

She said, "When I did a lot on red carpets, i kept trying to find good eyelashes, but they were huge on me." "I couldn’t wear them."

She recalled, "I was talking to my makeup artists Troi Ollivierre and I was actually going on Oprah’s show, when Oprah entered the green room." He looked at both me and her and said, "Get back into that chair." "We're going to put some extensions on you and some lashes."

Lyons said, "I could not find the lashes I wanted so I made my own."
