Tiffany Chen suffered a health problem after she gave birth to her daughter with Robert De Niro.

Chen discussed the complications in a interview that she did with Gayle Queen,. The entire interview will be published on Friday. She said that Bell's Palsy was diagnosed shortly after giving birth to Gia Virginia.

Chen, 45, said, "When I returned home, my tongue started to feel strange."

"It started to feel a bit numb, a little tingly. Then I realized that my face felt strange. I had no idea what I felt. "It felt strange."

Chen then confirmed that King had asked her if she "looked differently" in the mirror.

When I arrived home, everything seemed to be falling apart. Chen said that her face felt like it was melting. "And then, a week following the birth of my child, that's when everything hit."

"I tried to eat," said Chen. I tried to put food on a fork in my mouth, but it all came out. I was unable to eat. Then I started to slur. "There's really something going on here," I told myself.

Chen was told to "go straight to the hospital".

She revealed, "I lost my facial function as soon as I arrived at the hospital."

Chen and De Niro welcomed their daughter Gia Virginia in the first half of this year. The actor had previously shared with King some details regarding his baby.

King stated that the child was born on April 6, and her name is Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro. She weighed 8 pounds, 6oz.

King claimed that De Niro had told her the pregnancy was "planned," and he and Chen both "wanted" this child. She said the two were "overjoyed" at her arrival, and that "he is very psyched about it."

De Niro has now seven children, with ages ranging from 51 years old to 1 month.

The actor has two children with Grace Hightower: Elliot (24), and Helen (11). He also shares twins Julian, Aaron and Toukie, 27 with his ex-girlfriend Toukie.
