"I can't believe that I just said that!"

Robin Roberts will say "I do" to his wife in 2023.

In a surprise announcement Monday morning, "Good Morning America" anchor Amber Laign confirmed that she and her longtime partner will be getting married later in the year. They have been together since 2005 but never announced their engagement.

Roberts revealed the information to Gabby Bernstein during an interview, when they were discussing their "intentions" and plans for the new year. Roberts paused before revealing the secret when she was asked what Roberts would say "yes" to 2023.

"I don’t need to think. She began, stating that she was hesitating as she hadn't spoken it out loud enough. Her guest encouraged her to speak it now.

"I'm saying yes!" Roberts revealed that they were getting married in this year. "It was something we discussed, but we put off, she became sick."

Roberts and Laign announced Amber's diagnosis of breast cancer in February 2022. In July, she completed radiation therapy. Roberts was also openly diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2007.

Roberts stated that the couple are agreeing to marriage and the next chapter -- before adding "I can't believe it!"

Roberts was told by Bernstein to create a vision board of the wedding. The reporter stated that she would be "meditating about the marriage, and not the wedding."

"Saying Yes to Marriage in 2023" Roberts shared a clip on Instagram and added the hashtags #marriage and #loveislove.

Loni Love was among the many who sent their congratulations via the comments. She wrote, "Come through !!!!!." Congratulations.. I'm the flower girl !!!!"
