As evidenced by recent COVID-19 outbreaks in morning show viewers, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage. Robin Roberts from Good Morning America has been confirmed as having the virus. She will be absent from the studio for several days while she recovers and becomes fully non-contagious. The virus has not been caught by the anchor of the morning show.

Robin Roberts at 'GMA’ Over COVID-19

Robin Roberts, a Twitter user, shared some disappointing news with her followers on Thursday night. Due to a rare case of COVID-19 she was unable to attend Good Morning America the majority of the week. She assured her fans that her symptoms were not severe and that she was looking forward getting back to work soon.

"Thank you for your concern regarding my absence from @GMA this week. I was positive for Covid. Thankful that my symptoms were mild and that everything is going well. The tweet said, "Looking forward to returning as quickly as possible." The virus has not been caught by only one GMA host. Michael Strahan, her co-host, was also positive and had to miss several shows due to it.

Storied History Together

Strahan sang the praises of his co-host before she was afflicted by the virus. He even said that she saved his life when he made the leap from Live! Kelly and Michael are now on the news-based morning show. Strahan spoke with Candace Parker about her Moments podcast. She explained that she was at the Oscars red carpet with Kelly and that she was doing Live at the time. I'd never done the Oscar red carpet.

He spotted Roberts on the red carpet, just as his insecurity was about to take over. He said, "I see you and I walk over to give her a hug." I told her that I was scared to death. He's scared. She assured him that he would be fine, and he could still perform with his flawless charm despite his nerves.

COVID-19 News - Other Morning Show

While they were watching the Today Show competitors, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb both tested positive for coronavirus. Both ladies have since been able to work remotely. Guthrie is still alive, while Kotb recently returned to Studio 1A. Coronavirus cases in the United States are on the rise. We want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and healthy journey.
