Griffin, a longtime friend of Madonna's, addressed some concerns in her post. She also reacted to some ageist and misogynistic responses regarding the singer’s hospitalization.
Rosie O'Donnell shared a sweet and short health update about her long-time friend Madonna after the Queen of Pop had been hospitalized on Saturday for a bacterial illness.
O'Donnell shared a throwback photo of her and the icon from The Rosie O'Donnell Show in which they are seen together doing yoga. Rosie wrote, "shes feels good," adding #madonna and#love.
O'Donnell told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month that Madonna is "ready" for the upcoming tour. She said, "We have a sisterly relationship in the sense that we are always in touch and stay in each others lives."
Guy Oseary's announcement of Madonna’s health scare, and the postponement of her tour, was made on Wednesday in an Instagram post which stated, "On June 24, Madonna contracted a serious bacterial illness which led to several days spent in the ICU."
He added, "Her health has improved but she still requires medical attention." "A complete recovery is expected."
The announcement continued, "At this point we will have to pause our commitments including the tour." We will be sharing more information with you as soon as we receive it, including the new date of the tour.
BBC reported on Thursday that she was home.
Kathy Griffin meanwhile defended Madonna, in a TikTok clip late Wednesday night. She felt that online conversations about her hospitalization were becoming ageist and sexist.
She began, "I don't even know what Madonna is going through, but I love and want to defend Madonna." "I've never met her. "I've seen her perform, and I believe she has given the world decades of entertainment and music."
Griffin defended herself by saying, "I don't like the way people are already making fun and joking about her being clearly quite ill or collapsing, and we'll be fine. We don't yet know anything." "I think that a lot is misogyny and ageism," Griffin said. As a 62 year old woman, I have to deal with this all the time. She's Madonna!
Griffin ended her video by wishing the singer a good tour and a happy birthday.
"I don’t care about the fillers. They’ll go away whether she wants them to or not. "I care about her health," concluded she. I'm glad that she can return to this tour. It is the greatest hits, so she should be fantastic.
