In the strangely sweet tribute, his Wrexham companion admits that there are many ways to mispronounce and massacre it.
Ryan Reynolds posted a catchy and sweet song to celebrate Rob McElhenney, his Wrexham business partner's birthday.
This song pays homage to the star of "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia", and features many cameos, including his wife Kaitlin.
The song helps viewers pronounce McElhenney, a difficult last name.
The song says, "It is Mackle-henny."
McElhenney replied to the song by writing "This is .... I don't .... Wow."
Reynolds said, "It would be a shame if it became the @wrexham_afc racecourse chant."
When they bought the soccer team in 2020 for $2.5 million, Reynolds and McElhenney will become co-chairmen.
Rob was the one who invested in the team, and Ryan joined him despite having never met. Ryan decided to invest with Rob, and admits that he has become addicted to the success of the team.
"I have only owned a football team for a short period of time." Ryan told The Guardian in October that he had found the experience to be time-consuming, emotionally draining, financially stupid and addictive.
Reynolds is known to poke fun at celebrities. Reynolds is seen at the end of the video approaching a chalkboard and making two marks: "RR" under each mark, "RM" underneath the other. He writes "RR" to indicate that he has gained a point over his business partner.
Reynolds and Hugh Jackman also have a rumored "feud". The two frequently troll each other on Twitter, with their rivalry dating back to when they both worked on "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" in 2009. The two have "feuded", most recently after Reynolds was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song.
He said in mock sincerity, "Ryan Reynolds being nominated in the Best Song Category would make my next year insufferable." "I would have to spend a year with him, shooting Wolverine & Deadpool. It's impossible." "It would be a big problem."
Reynolds was not a winner this year at the Academy Awards. Instead, "Naatu Naatu", from "RRR," won.
