Applegate stated that she was unable to view Season 3 of "Dead of Me", even though it was available on Netflix in November.

She explained that she doesn't like to see herself struggling. "Also I gained 40 pounds due to inactivity and medication, and I didn’t look like me, and didn’t feel like I was myself."

She said, "At some stage I was able to disengage myself from my ego and realize how beautiful it was." "All the scenes that I was not in were so much fun and exciting to experience for the first time."
