Sarah Jessica Parker and Bette Midler,, Kathy Najimy are putting a spell again on us, just in-time for Halloween. Fans around the world are captivated by Hocus Pocus 2, which will be released on September 30th.

The actresses playing the Sanderson Sisters have already spoken of a third installment in the series, even before the sequel is out. Could it be that Hocus Pocus3 is already in production?

The Sisters are Happy to Be Back

The three actors discussed the new movie as well as the possibility of another installment in the franchise during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Midler, who first played the role of Winifred Sanderson in 1993, has long wanted to reprise the role. The Divine Miss M said that she was jealous of those who can do their favorite characters more than once, even after 30 years without a sequel to Hocus Pocus. "The fact that we finally got to do this after 30 years of working for the idea, is something I am glad about. I'd love to have a franchise--especially a character I love playing."

However, not all actresses feel the same way. Parker said that she did not push for a sequel of the Halloween classic. "I believe Bette was the only one who had conversations. It was a moment when it happened and I would respond. "I'd always reply, 'Yeah sure,' but I cannot admit to having been involved in the creation of it." But the actress was thrilled to hear about the new film. Parker said, "I was so excited to hear it was real.

"Never Say Never"

Are the Sanderson Sisters possible to return for a third consecutive year? Najimy, who plays Mary Sanderson in the movie's film, is not certain. In an interview, the actress stated that she felt like the movie was over. She quickly responded, "I guess, never speak of never, but it's a great feeling to have the opportunity to do it again." Although I do not know if there are plans for another one, I know that fans are passionate about this film. "I'm happy that we can bring this film to them."

One actress had an idea for a third film in the franchise. Parker said that Kathy had an idea for the third movie and it should be animated. It would be a great idea and cool. It's funny and fun.

Hocus Pocus II will be loved by all regardless of what happens to the third movie. A third installment may be inevitable if the Sanderson sisters are successful in enchanting enough fans.
