Sarah Paulson shares an insider's look at her tiny but cozy Malibu home.

Architectural Digest's latest "Open Door" YouTube video featured the actress giving a tour through her 500-square foot, three-bedroom, beachside home. Although it is difficult to imagine a celebrity, especially an eight-time Emmy-winning actress, living in such a tiny home the space is a perfect example of comfort luxury.

Paulon welcomed the AD cameras to her Malibu "getaway," and then explained the layout of the house by saying that there were three rooms. There is a bathroom, bedroom, and living room that slash into a kitchen.

She said that the house was cozy due to its size, but she believes they did some special things with it. Before sharing her inspiration for buying the home, she explained the reasons behind the purchase. It might sound odd, but I don't know. Anyone who is passionate about their pets will not find it strange. My dog was with me to visit a friend. My friend has a house nearby, so I took my dog on a walk along the beach. I have never seen my dog happier, so I bought the house for him. It's true.

The tour began in the star of "American Horror Story"'s living room. She appropriately called it "really small." The "room" was decorated with colorful throw pillows and featured a small wooden table as well as a blue couch.

Paulson stated that the table was made from the "most beautiful timber" and noted that the scalloped edge is an "incredibly beautiful touch" because it "evok[es] water" and "brings beach into the home."

She said that the sofa was custom-made for her room. "Because everything here is so small, as I mentioned. There wasn't a sofa that I liked enough to make my Malibu escape possible.

Paulson continued, "I know that I keep stressing the small space, but I'm really not kidding, and all of the lovely people here who are helping make this happen today have the ability to tell you," as Paulson scanned more of the space. "And there are many people behind the camera. Very small. It almost feels cozier this way to me. It's not because I like it, but it feels more like you're in a book nook or somewhere with beautiful touches that make it feel peaceful and wonderful. It's about unplugging. It's so much easier to unplug when I'm close to the water.

The actress from "Ratched" then moved to her "favorite spot to be: her amazing kitchen. It occupied the largest part of the room. She said that her kitchen is her "favorite place" and that she loves its airy, open feel. She also mentioned that she's obsessed with the pale gray and seafoam-green marble countertops.

Paulson showed off an art piece that Holland Taylor had gifted her, and she explained how the rest of the kitchen was built. She shared that she bought two fridge/freezer drawers as she needed more space for her booze to make cocktails.

The actress from "Run" gave a tour of her bedroom, which was separated by a curtain fabric. The small bedroom was covered in a cashmere blanket and the room was surrounded by "aubergine-printed wallpaper." Paulson spoke highly of the wallpaper, saying that it has a "textured" effect and makes the bedroom feel cozy and womb-like.

Then, she gave the cameras a peek inside her bathroom. It was made up of "floor to ceiling" laven-colored zellige-colored clay tiles, which Paulson described as "moves like beads" and a large stand-in, glass shower.

Paulson's charming, but cozy backyard was the final stop on the tour. It featured an outdoor seating area, an outdoor shower and a feature that allowed one to wash their feet after a long beach walk.

She said, "We are in our lovely, charming, exceedingly small backyard, where I also like to do really annoying white girl Instagram things like drinkmy tea out here," before resigning to the AD cameras.
