Scheana Schay, Vanderpump Rules' star, has a difficult time maintaining her friendship with Tom Sandoval after the scandal of cheating that rocked the show in the last season. She says it "changed our group dynamic."

While the fans eagerly await Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana shay opens up about the difficulties of filming the show with Tom Sandoval after the cheating scandal erupted across the country and became "Scandoval."

The reality star revealed her struggle to deal with her complex emotions after Sandoval cheated on her best friend Ariana madix, nine years into the relationship between her and her former co-star Rachel Leviss.

She said, "I never considered him a bad person," on the most recent episode of her Podcast Scheananigans. "He was my best friend for nearly 15 years. He was the one person who stood up for me on this show. He fought whenever I felt unfair.

It's difficult to reconcile the feelings she has about him with all of the lies and betrayals he committed against other people who are close to her.

"I've personally struggled with this, because I think, 'Yes you did something really bad.' You weren't my bad friend. Then what you did has affected me', so it's changed the whole dynamic of our group," Shay replied.

As the new season began filming, fans are already analyzing every interaction that the cast has had with Sandoval. Shay, Madix and Sandoval all weighed in after a photo of Shay standing with Sandoval sparked a backlash on the internet.

Shay, holding her fist in her Instagram Stories back in July, said: "I don’t know why I need to defend taking this photo with my hands like this behind someone."

Madix said that Shay took a picture with a fan to celebrate their birthday. "We try to stop at least once for photos, and when all the cast is there, it is common to have the entire cast in the picture regardless of the situation."

She has addressed the criticism of fans on several occasions when Sandoval was seen interacting either with her or other cast members. She said, "Since he and I had such a long-lasting friendship, everyone would always say, 'Oh Scheana the flip-flopper. Scheana must have loyalty'. Losing a friendship that old was a difficult thing to do." "But Team Ariana. "She's my girl."

Shay revealed that during a retreat, she and Sandoval shared a "not-so-easy" conversation. They were paired up during a Lake Tahoe trip for "spiritual mediation healing".

She said that Wednesday was the most emotionally exhausting day she had ever experienced in her 11 seasons on Vanderpump rules. My eyelashes were sore from crying that much, my contacts were dried, I was congested and I felt weak.

Leviss won't be returning to the series, despite producers holding out hope she would decide to join at a later date. The former cast member ended her social media silence by posting a video of herself on a flower farm with the caption, "I have been dreaming of this place."
