Selena Gomez Celebrates Becoming First Woman to 400 Million Instagram Followers

This milestone is just one month after Selena Gomez passed Kylie Jenner to become the most followed woman on the platform, with 381 million followers.

Selena Gomez is gaining more and more fame on Instagram. She broke Kylie Jenner's record of 381 million Instagram followers in a month and has since surpassed her own record.

The "Only Murders in the Building” star set a new record by amassing an astonishing 400 million followers over the weekend. She is also the most followed American. Selena celebrated her achievement by posting a new post Sunday. She now stands at 401 million, and we can assume that she is growing! ).

Selena captioned, "Wishing that I could hug all 400,000,000 of you," a series of photos of Selena interacting over the years with her legions. She was already sharing her love for Miley Cyrus with her 400 million followers.

Selena shared a new selfie that she took late last week. She captioned it "Violet Chemistry", a Miley song. She also shared a gift that she received recently from Miley "Queen".

Selena shared on her Instagram Stories that Miley had sent samples of her Dolce Glow collaboration. Miley re-shared the story to her Stories and commented to Selena: "You glow naturally. But I had to send to you the ESV X DG collab, because I LOVE YOU."

The multi-hyphenated talent's return back to the platform has been loved by Miley Cyrus and more than 400,000,000 Selena fans. Selena's rise to the top started with her January return to control of her own IG feed.
