The singer/actor appeared on SiriusXM Hits 1 LA, hosted by Tony Fly and Symon to promote her new single "Single Soon" and revealed what it would be like to date her. This was after the host pointed out that she describes herself as "high maintenance" in the song.

Gomez said, "I have standards and I believe I live in a time where boys mistake standards for high maintenance." "But the line is really funny because I am not ashamed to tell you, 'I require XYZ for you to join me.'

What does it take to date Gomez?

Gomez said, "You've got to be cool man." "Not cool as in people thinking you're cool. Just be nice, make me laugh, and be kind to my family.

Gomez doesn't want to be in a serious relationship anytime soon. She revealed that she is content with her current situation.

She said, "I understand that everyone goes through a phase where they think, 'oh it would be nice to have someone'.

"But, you know I'm just happy where I'm currently at. I, I want to just be content with who I am, so that when that person comes into your life, they can add to you instead of me being the insecure person I used to be."

She also revealed that the viral video of Selena screaming at soccer players that she is single did not have any impact.

"I don't believe they heard me, but none of them gave a damn." She said, "It's okay." They didn't listen to me and didn't care about what I said, so I just thought, "All right."
