Shanna said that her inverted nipple affected her self-esteem and made her feel insecure, especially when she was intimate with boyfriend.

Shanna M. Moakler opens up about the physical insecurity that she has lived with for almost two decades.

In a recent interview with page six the reality star, who has three kids, revealed that she found out that one of her breasts became "inverted", after the birth of Landon. Now 19, the reality star admitted that her insecurity affected her self-esteem when it came to the bedroom.

"I noticed after my second pregnancy." "Everything was different before [son] Landon, [in 2003], that changed things," Shanna stated.

She added, "It's quite poignant as I don't believe many women are aware of the options they have." "But it was something I've always wanted to do. It's not something that you deal with every day."

Former Miss USA, who had felt "insecure" for 19 years about her nipple, decided to undergo plastic surgery in order to fix it.

Shanna explained that the procedure was a "band-aid" but it affected her self-esteem and she felt insecure, especially when intimately involved with her boyfriend. "I was always insecure and wanted to act because it was in my face all the time."

The model said that Dr. Justin Perez, a plastic surgery in Marina Del Rey, was the surgeon she selected to perform her 30-minute operation. She noted that she had "put her faith" in him.

Shanna stated, "I was really happy that I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Perez because he was open and honest throughout the whole procedure." "I went to him because he uses a modern technique, so that when [breast] want to still breast-feed, they can absolutely do this."

In another part of the interview, 46-year old beauty queen revealed her views on aging. She admitted that "getting older" is "not easy," but she feels "comfortable" in her skin and "beautiful."

Shanna, who spoke to Page Six about her ageing process, said: "I'm comfortable with my procedures and where I am now. I think I will probably do some small things as I get older."

She added, "Aging isn't easy, but it doesn't have to define you." "It may sound cliche but age is just a part of who I am. "At my age, I think I'm more beautiful now than I was when I was 20 years old. But everyone handles that differently."

Shanna has three children. She has Landon and Alabama, 17 years old, with her ex-husband Travis Barker. Atiana, 24 years old, is with her ex-fiance Oscar De La Hoya.
