Sunny Hostin recalls how Sherri shepherd helped her advocate fair pay on the "View."

The 54-year old television personality revealed her relationship with Shepherd, 56, and the time she helped her to fight for her salary after she joined her daytime talk show.

"I'm not sure if you recall this, but when I signed my contract, you called me." Hostin recalled that she didn't know where you got her number. She was a cohost on "The View" and had been for seven years. "You were saying, 'I've heard you're joining the show', and I said, 'Yeah! I'm going to join the show. She asked, "Did you get a car allowance?" "No. I said."

Sunny joined the show in 2016, and Sherri left the program in 2014 as a regular contributor. The legal correspondent said that while making the transition she had reviewed her offer with "Precious'" star on the phone.

Hostin revealed that after their conversation, her agent requested additional compensation.

She said, "You paid me." You gave me the salaries of everyone and I told my agent that I did not have enough money.

Shepherd revealed that Rosie O'Donnell (former "View" host) also took the initiative to review the contract of the actress when she first joined the ranks in 2007.

O'Donnell left the show at the time after an argument with her conservative cohost Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

The "One For The Money' star revealed that she would have earned a much different salary if it weren't for the comedian.

Shepherd told People that in 2018: "I tell the people how much I make if they're doing a show, because Rosie O'Donnell has done it for me." "She told what she earned so that I could know how to negotiate." If Rosie O'Donnell hadn't told me her salary, I wouldn't have gotten anything so low. "I'm not going to lie, I earned a lot on The View."

She added, "So, when people come to me to do talk shows, I tell them, 'This was what I made. This is what you should ask for.' Because otherwise, you wouldn't know. As women, we must share.

The View airs every weekday at 8 am PT on ABC.
