Simu Lin revealed that his parents mistakenly took edibles while house-sitting and crashed into a bush.

The Barbie actor appeared on Jimmy Kimmel live! where he told the story of his parents.

Liu invited his parents, Zheng & Zhenning to house-sit for him while he was away. He described his parents as "frugal" and they didn't want delivery. They decided to "forage around the house" for food.

Liu recalled that the house was bare except for some basic furniture, clothes, and edibles, which he ate recreationally and infrequently. His mother ended up finding her way to the walk-in wardrobe where he stored the edibles.

Liu said to host Jimmy Kimmel, "She finds what she believes are gummy fassies and trail mix that has dried mushrooms in it." "She's like 'Oh these are snacks'."

The Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings actor continued, "so she takes them to dad and they pop them like skittles." He then explained that the two kept feeling more hungry the more they ate while also feeling as if they were "going to die."

They then went to the supermarket to get their food, but it ended up in a disaster.

"They immediately crash my car when they get in!" Liu said that they had crashed into some shrubbery on his driveway. "They are so high, they're panicking, and they don't have any other options, so they knock on the door of my neighbor."

The neighbor "roped in" his parents and drove the car up the driveway as they "freaked out."

He concluded, "I get home many, many days later, and the car has been totaled. My shrubs have been destroyed, and all my drugs are gone." "I looked at my parents, and I said, 'OK first off, I will never leave you unsupervised ever in my home.'"

Liu and MiLa began their partnership after the incident. MiLa delivered a package of PR materials to Liu by chance, saving his parents' stomachs from their uncontrollable hunger with some soup dumplings.

Liu said, "I received the 'Asian Parent Approved' stamp."
