Sister Wives' Janelle and Christine Brown Reveal How Their Children Feel About Polygamous Marriages

Janelle and Christine Brown discuss whether any of their kids have chosen to live a polygamous life and what they think about the Mormon Church.

Janelle Brown and Christine Brown, stars of Sister Wives star, are open about their views on polygamous relationships.

In a recent interview with People magazine, the couple, who left their polygamous marriage to ex Kody brown in 2013, revealed that their children were largely against polygamy.

"None our children has chosen polygamy." Janelle, 54 told the outlet that we don't have any children who are members of the Mormon Church, the mainstream [Latter-Day Saints] Church. When they were young, we encouraged them to develop a relationship with God. I believe many of them have done so in their own ways. I believe polygamy to be hard and that you need a strong religious conviction. They don't.

Christine, 51, has a similar opinion. She told The People, that her children have said it's not their thing.

Christine spoke of the split she had with Kody in November 2021. "Some of our children have seen how difficult it is and some have seen separation," Christine stated. They see how difficult it is, and they say, "No, no no no no." "No, that's just not for me."

Christine, who shared shares of Paedon and Aspyn with the sister wives patriarch has moved on, recently becoming engaged to David Woolley. Janelle and Kody ended their 30-year-old spiritual marriage in December when they separated.

Janelle, the mother of sons Logan and Hunter and daughters Madison, Savanah and Garrison, and Christine, the mom of daughter Madison, Savanah and Garrison, both agreed that they wanted to raise the 18 children in the Brown family under the same roof, until "they didn't fit any more."

Kody has children between the ages of 7 and 29 with Christine, Janelle Robyn, Meri Brown, and Janelle Brown.

Janelle recalls: "We tried to live in the same house for as long as possible until we couldn't anymore fit." We were all about this dream. "That big picture was our goal."

Christine, who has yet to resolve her differences with certain members of the family said that she hopes they will be able to function as one unit in the future.

Christine continued, "I hope that one day we will be able to function again as a family." "I believe we have separate smaller families who bump into each other, like boats on water. It causes ripples and is bumpy. It can be rough at times, but hopefully we will all be able to be together and the water will calm down.
