Sister Wives' Meri Feels 'Insulted' by Kody After Revealing Her Major Life Plans

Sister Wives' Meri Feels 'Insulted' by Kody After Revealing Her Major Life Plans

Robyn expressed frustration with her husband's behavior, saying that it sometimes felt like "deal-breakers" to her. The family is continuing to split.

Kody brown has disappointed his two remaining wives on the most recent episode of sister Wives.

Meri revealed to Kody in Sunday's "New Hour" that she was planning to leave her Flagstaff home, Arizona, and move her clothing business into the bed and breakfast which she owns. Meri's decision meant that she would be spending more time away with Kody and her family. She still planned to keep a smaller home near them in Arizona.

She knew that Kody, with whom she had only a platonic friendship since a catfishing episode in 2015, wouldn't be interested in her decision, as she believed he'd already given up on any romantic relationship between them. She and Robyn both wished that he would do everything he could to keep her.

Meri told her husband that she didn't have much hope that he would realize the truth.

"Cool, that's good, right?" He replied immediately. Robyn expressed disappointment in a private confession, stating that she would have preferred if he had given Meri something to hold onto while they were in Arizona.

"I think that the more Meri stays at the B&B the happier she becomes. He continued by asking if she wanted him to "read between the lines". He asked if she wanted him reacting by saying, "No, No, Stay Here!" He added that he did not want to appear as if they were "getting fully back into this relationship."

He concluded that he was "waiting for her to catch-up" and believed she had already left the house, as well as their plural marriage, but hadn't yet realized it.

Robyn found his reaction, or lack thereof, "frustrating" and felt "no control whatsoever" over what was going on with her family. "I feel there's little left, and I'm showing her that there is still hope, and Kody's not helping me," she said, adding that "somedays it feels like a decision-breaker."

Kody confessed in a private confessional, after Meri had made it clear her decision did not affect him, that "it actually has no effect on me." She told Kody that she did not intend to "leave" him and move to the north, despite his belief. "I don’t want you thinking that I’m leaving because, sorry, but I still have hopes, okay?" She added.

"I really hoped he would show a bit more concern... She confessed that she wanted him to be more caring, but it was just not there. "These conversations basically tell me to live my life as I have been because nothing will change."

Kody felt that Robyn was pressuring him to "reconciliation" Meri. He said their united front "made me feel very uneasy." "I have one wife with whom I have a good relationship and I am afraid that if I abandon the women, she will lose respect for me."

He admitted he had no idea what Meri wanted from him, or about their situation. Then he asked her if Meri would like to move into an R.V. on their large Coyote Pass land. He said he would also consider building a "barn-dominium" -- a condo in a barn -- on the property, and suggested she live in the loft. Meri thought that was a slap on the face.

"He wants to expose me to all the things he does not want to see or deal with. He doesn't even have space for them." In a confessional she told Kody that she found it insulting. She then said she'd rather live in a smaller house.

"He doesn't care about anything I do." She concluded, "I wish he valued me but he doesn't," at the end. "He wants me to live in his barn-dominium loft, you know?"

In a joint announcement made in January, Kody and Meri said that they "permanently ended" their "marriage relation." This episode was filmed just after the holidays. Their big decision is coming up soon.

Kody married Meri in 1990, and they welcomed Leo together, their first child, in 1995. Christine joined the family in 1994, but Janelle was there in 1993. In 2010, Robyn, the fourth wife, joined the family before Kody divorced Meri to marry her.

He remained spiritually wed to Meri even though their relationship became platonic with time, especially after in 2015 she admitted that she had entered a catfishing online relationship with a person she thought was male but who turned out to actually be a female.

They split after Christine left their plural marriage, and Janelle separated from him.

Sister Wives, the new episodes of which air on Sundays at TLC MAX and Discovery+.
