Steve-O, a 48-year-old Jackass star is well-known for his unique way of doing things. The TV entertainer seems to not care about what others think. He has done tightrope walks over alligators and played tetherball with beehives. Steve-O is a rebel in his personal life. The TV personality proposed to his fiancée and gave her an engagement band. He then decided to wear the ring.

In an interview with People , SteveO (real name Stephen Glover) spoke out about his proposal to Lux Wright. The TV star stated, "It's ridiculous that only a man should wear an engagement band." Also, I have one.

Since January 2018, Wright and Steve-O are engaged. In an Instagram post the stunt performer revealed that he proposed his fiancée to Steve-O in front of their families and friends.

Steve-O wrote, "Last Night, in front a bunch of Jackass friends, my closest friends and my sister... she replied 'yes'." I had planned this for six months and it's so exciting.

The couple are still waiting for the right moment to marry, even though it has been almost five years since the TV celebrity proposed. Steve-O said, "The plan to our marriage is still in the waiting until we purchase our animal sanctuary."

Are Men's Engagement Rings The Next Big Thing

Steve-O is not the first celebrity man to wear an engagement band. Men have worn engagement rings for many years. Let's look at a few celebrities who also broke with tradition.

When Michael Buble, an American musician, announced his engagement to Luisana Lopilato in 2010, he wore an engagement ring. According to the musician, he wore it because his then-fiance requested him to. Buble stated that the boy also wore the engagement ring in Argentina while on tour in 2010. "That's what [Lopilato] told me anyway."

After proposing to Lauren Pritchard, Skylar Astin, actor and singer, he wore an engagement band. He tweeted, "It always felt strange to me that men don't get engagement rings." My fiance agreed.

After proposing to Cherry Seaborn, Ed Sheeran realized that his fiance should not be the only one with a ring. In a 2018 interview, the musician stated that he never understood why men don't wear engagement rings. It's the same commitment in both directions.
