Nicki Aycox, who was best known for her role on "Supernatural" as Meg Masters, has died at 47.

Susan Raab Ceklosky (Aycox's sister in law), announced the news via Facebook on Thursday. Photos of Aycox during her life and with Matt Raab were included in her tribute.

She wrote, "My beautiful, intelligent, fierce, incredibly gifted, and loving sister in-law, Nicki Aycox Raab passed away yesterday with my brother Matt Raab by her side." "Nicki was a great friend and had a wonderful time together in California. She was a fighter, and all who knew her loved them."

Although the cause of death for the CW star is not known, Aycox disclosed in March 2021 that she had been diagnosed as having leukemia.

She declared that she was now cancer-free several weeks later, and in December 2021, she shared the following: "I have more Leukemia cells than my start with." Through March 2022, she continued to update her readers about her fight with cancer. She also shared that she was currently undergoing chemotherapy.

After hearing the news, Eric Kripe, creator of "Supernatural," shared a tribute on Twitter to Aycox. He wrote, "Gutted that the great # NickiAycox passed away, our first #egMasters." Too young. She was an absolute delight and delivered lines like honey and venom. It was amazing to see how she made such a simple word as "lackluster" legendary.

Aycox was not only a star on "Supernatural," but she also starred on "Jeepers Creepers 2," and "X-Files I Want to Believe." She has also appeared on numerous episodes of "Cold Case," Ed, and Dark Blue.
